Sustainability for Leaders TNS Level 2 (Dutch or English)

We plan to give 1 TNS Level 2 each year, in either Dutch or English, depending on demand. 1&2 Juli 2015 we have a course planned in Dutch, but also several people on the waiting list for an English version. Please contact us to show your interest.  

What can I expect?

This course is geared towards experienced sustainability professionals, managers, analysts, academics, and consultants who want to deepen their learning, refine their application of The Natural Step Framework for Strategic Sustainable Development, and enhance their ability to integrate sustainability meaningfully into organizations.

Course participants will plunge deeply into sustainability planning, implementation and analysis while applying their learning in a field of their choosing through project work.

  • A customized, 2-day workshop facilitated according to the best practices of participatory and adult learning (incl. lunch, snacks, refreshments, and course materials)
  • A 2-hour online learning and coaching webinar facilitated by our experienced sustainability advisors

Who should apply?

This course is designed for professionals with the goal of leading or influencing sustainability-related change processes, whether in a designated sustainability role or not. And, who have taken their first plunge by participating in a Level 1 training course.

After this workshop, participants will be better equipped to take a sustainability leadership role in their organizations to capture value, enable innovation, and drive strategy.

Learning Objectives

In this course, you will:

  • Conduct a Sustainability Value Assessment of your business, community, or organization
  • Strategize how to mobilize colleagues, address objections, and get buy-in to advance sustainability in your business, community, or organization
  • Practice an elevator pitch to make the case for sustainability
  • Explore the ecological and social science basis of The Natural Step Framework
  • Reframe your organization’s purpose in terms of meeting Basic Human Needs
  • Situate The Natural Step Framework vis-à-vis other sustainability methods
  • Practice techniques for facilitating a sustainability change process
